Abstract: Photosynthesis and bud characteristics, and chemical compositions of tea in ChestnutGinkgoTea(CGT), ChestnutTea(CT) and Tea(T) models were measured, and the main factors affecting bud characteristics and chemical compositions were analyzed. The results showed that the diurnal change of photosynthetic rate of tea in all planting models presented a single peak curve. The net photosynthetic rate, bud length, bud density, 100bud weight and yield in CGT and CT models decreased when compared with T model, but the water extracts, coffee alkali and amino acid content for tea increased, while tea polyphenols decreased, which showed that Ginkgo or Chestnut and Tea mixtures could improve tea quality. Multiregression analysis indicated that the effect of photosynthesis characteristics on bud characters and chemical compositions could be arranged as evaporation rate, net photosynthesis rate, intensity of CO2 among cells and stomatal conductance.
