Abstract: Difference in soil fertility were investigated for different plantations in Karst area by field sampling and lab analysis. 12 indices were selected and the methods of principal component and cluster analysis were used to evaluate soil fertility quality of five different plantations, including Robinia pseudoacacia, Eucommia ulmoides, Alnus cremastogyne, Cupressus duclouxiana and Prunus salicina. The results showed there existed great difference of soil physical, chemical properties and soil enzyme activities among five different plantations; the significant difference also exist in the correlation between different types of soil enzyme activities and soil physical and chemical properties. By means of PCA method, three principal components selected could reflect 93.44 percent of information which represented by soil fertility indices. The order of soil integrated fertility index value of five different plantations was A.cremastogyne,R.pseudoacacia,E.ulmoides,P.salicina and C.duclouxiana.
