Grey correlation and path analyses for soil character and growth indicators of ginseng under forest

Abstract: The relationship between 8 aboveground growth indicators of ginseng under forest and 16 soil characters in Changbai Mountain was investigated with the methods of grey correlation and path analyses. The correlation sequence between ginseng growth and soil characters was obtained by grey correlation analysis, and the associated with convergence between the growth indicators of ginseng under forest and soil characters was found by path analysis. The results showed that the percentage of total sulfur and effective participation of zinc on the growth indicators of ginseng under forest are positive, can effectively increase the survival rates of ginseng under forest and promote growth of it. Therefore, the production can improve the forest soil in the concentration of total sulfur and zinc to improve the survival rates of ginseng under forest and promote growth.
