Abstract: It was found that by using an H-medium as a basis medium with suitable amount of 2,4-D (2-3 mg/1. ) and BA (0.5mg/l), better effects were obtained in inducing cellus formations of poplar shoot apices.Stem and leaves differentiated rapidly on the differentiation medium with low concentration of BA (0,lmg/l) and NAA (0.1mg/1).In the process of plantlet formation from cellus, isoenzyme patterns changed apparently.
