Abstract: On the basis of previous studies through field trapping with dissected parts of the female body or painted females, electroantennogram and quantitative bioassay of the male moth, it has been confirmed that the site where the sex pheromone in C. variegata is released is mainly in the terga cf the thorax. In connection with thespecial individual ecology of C. variegata, the special site and the way of release are discussed.
