Abstract: Milled wood lignin, isolated from Bischofia polycarpa is characterized by spectral and chemical analytical methods. The results show that the lignin of typical hardwood B. polycarpa differs from temperate zone hardwood lignin but fairly resembles guaiacyl lignins.
