Abstract: In this experiment, the normal acoustic absorptivity coefficients ap of Cunninghamia lanceolata (Lamb.) Hook, Ginkgo biloba L., Pavlownia tomentosa (Thunb.) steud, Pinus koraiensis sieb. et Zucc. Pinus massoniana Lamb, Cinna-momum comphora (L.) Presl, Choerospondias axillaris (Roxb.) Burtt et Hill and Fraxinus mandshurica Rupr are examined with the method of stationary wave tube and the ap of C. lanceolata (Lamb.) Hook on different surfuce areas and that of decorative fiber board tested, too. Thus the experimental curve is obtained showing the relation-ship between ap and the frequency v of acoustic waves acted on the incident material surfare under particular conditions, it is of reference value to studing the properties of acoustic absorption of wood and its products and to building acoustics as well.
