Abstract: This peper deals with the research on the growth of trees and the status of soil micronutrients (Cu、Zn、Fe、Mn、Mo) in 12 soil Profiled under Chinese fir, Chinese sassafras and Chinese weeping cypress stands in the low mountains and hilly regions of the southern pert of Anhui Province. By means of ecological comprison, the characteristics and changer of the soil micronutrients under various stands. the differences of those between the pure stands and mixed forests were preliminarily studied. The results show that the available contents of some soil micronutrients are still at their low level and sometimes even lower than their critical values. though the forest lands are generally rich in soil organic matters. It means that some trace elements such as Cu、Zn and Mo might be insufficient, but Fe and Mn are enriched. And the mixed forest stands can improve the supply of soil micronutrients in forest lands.
