Abstract: Dichomeris bimaculatus Liu et Qian is a new species of insect harmful to the cone and seed of China fir. In China they harm only Cunningamia lanceolata (Lamb.) Hook. Their larvae do harm to the bract scales, fruit axes and seeds of cones and cause cones to change colour, dryup, and deform. Their bioecology is reported in the paper.
