Abstract: The experiment examined the stumps sprouting traits, the effects of various factors to stumps sprouting and the characteristics of sprout growth. The results show that sprouting capacity of 1-69 clone with D. B. H between 8 cm to 20 cm is satisfactory.but it declines when the stump bark is more than 0. 60 cm in thickness. The underground sprouts show sprung growing capacity and the reform should be reserved as manyas possible. The fast-growing period is from July to mid September and the only one growth peak comes. When thinning clamps is due, two dominant sprouts are to be to reserved to the highest yield of pulp forest
