Abstract: 111 isolates of fungi were isolated from the xylem of the dead pine trees caused by pine wood nematode(PWN) from several diseased forests in Jiansu and Zhejiang provinces of China and identified as:Trichoderma spp.,Verticillium spp.,Penicillium spp.,Fusarium spp.,Aspergillus spp.,Chaetomium spp.,Phoma spp.,Dicoccum sp.,Cephalosporium sp.and Alternaria sp..These identified isolates occupy 60% of total isolates of the fungi.Among the 43% unidentified isolates, there three are sporiferous fungi, all the others were nonsporiferous. All the fungi were isolated from (56.42%) of the total examined dead trees. The bacteria were isolated from 86% of the total examined dead trees. Both fungi and bacteria were isolated simultaneously from 43.6% of the total examined dead trees.
