Abstract: The fungal succession on tea leaves and buds were studied in southern area of Henan province. As a result, 40 species belonging to 26 genera were isolated. Among them, 10 species: Alternaria tenuis, Cercospora theae, Chaetomium bostrychodes, Guignardia camelliae, Gloeosporium theae-sinensis, Macrophoma abensis, M. theaecola, Pestalotiopsis theae, P. versicolor, Trichoderma sp. are dominant fungi. The result also showed that the fungal succession was correlated with the season average temperature and the rainfall. The fungi were abundant in spring and autumn, poor in summer and winter.
