Abstract: The changes of activities of peroxidase and peroxidase isoenzymes in stem cuttings of Sinojackia xylocarpa during rooting were investigated using colorimetry and polyacrylamide slab gel electrophoresis, respectively. The results showed that changes of the activities of POD increased twice during the different rooting stages. The amounts and the intensities of the isoenzymes bands were also changed regularly with the progress of rooting. Among them, bands of Rf 0. 22 and 0. 31 were charactive.
