Abstract: The shallow top soil in Nanjing is selected as the sample to investigate, and the frost heave deformation is measured by independently developed equipment to study the frost heave disciplinarian of soils in different cold junction temperature, moisture content and load effect. The results showed that the soils’ frozenheave factor reduces linearly with cold junction temperature decreasing, enhances linearly with moisture content increasing, exponential declining with load effect increasing. On the other hand, carrying on four factors three levels orthogonal experiments to the muddy clay, analyzing various factors from the test result to the soil frost heave disciplinarian influence primary and secondary order, namely, moisture content> cold junction temperature> load effect. Lastly, compositive forecasting model can be found which reflecting the relationship between influence factor and soil’s frost heave disciplinarian. The mathematical model is an evidence to freezing method’s designing and construction in Nanjing.
