Abstract: According to the participatory rural appraisal(PRA), nontechnical factors influencing cultivation quality of plantation were investigated by visiting villagers and staff of forestry departments in Taijiang, Xiuwen and Zhenfeng county of Guizhou province. The results showed that nontechnical factors relating to policy, management, economy and nature existed different degree of influence to plantation quality besides technical factors. Twelve main nontechnical factors influencing cultivation quality of plantation in collective forest area of Guizhou province were determined preliminarily through questionnaire investigation, marking and ranking of influence degree. Some measures to control the nontechnical factors were put forward pose raise.
