Abstract: With the pattern index, intensity index and aggregated average, the difference and reasons of spatial distribution pattern of herbPicea crassifolia population under enclosed the hills for natural afforestation in summer and winter in Haxi forestry area were analyzed. The results indicated that the spatial pattern of Picea crassifolia population was aggregating distributed. The population spatial pattern in different seasons of the enclosed the hills for natural afforestation under graze disturbance had the different reaction, and summer graze to the different agegrade population spatial pattern effects was bigger than that of the winter graze. The main reason of the difference of spatial pattern about different agegrade population of herbPicea crassifolia forestry under enclose the hills for natural afforestation in summer and winter was graze disturbance.
