Abstract: A greenhouse hydroponic experiment was conducted to study the effects of different nutrient deficiency on Calophyllum inophyllum L. seedlings under seven treatments: complete nutrient mixture(CK), minus nitrogen(-N), minus phosphorus(-P), minus potassium(-K), minus calcium(-Ca), minus magnesium(-Mg) and minus sulfur(-S). The results indicated that: (1)All treatment of nutrient deficiency showed negative effect on the seedlings, such as undersized plant, leaf discoloration, brown patches and necrosis. These phenomenon were especially worse within the -N,-K and -S seedlings.(2) Nutrient deficiency seedlings showed significant decreases in ground diameter, leaf area, height and biomass compared with CK. The pigment contents of -N and -S seedlings were significantly lower than those of CK. (3)Vector analyses indicated that the foliar nutrients of different treatments show definite synergism or antagonism, the deficiency nutrient was the first limiting factor, while the second limiting factor was different.
