Abstract: 【Objective】 In this study, tebuconazole/chitosan microcapsules were prepared by the method of spray-drying. Chitosan was chosen as wall material, and tebuconazole was chosen as core material during the preparation of microcapsules. 【Methed】 The effection of the composition of emulsion(ratio of water to oil)and conditions of spray drying to the morphology of microcapsules have been discussed by scanning electron microscope(SEM), and the release of the tebuconazole/chitosan microcapsules has been researched by simulating experiment. 【Result】 The results showed that the concentration of chitosan solution, the concentration of surfactant, the compressed gas flow rate, and the feed rate all have great influence on the morphology of microcapsules. 【Conclusion】 The method of spray-drying to prepare the tebuconazole/chitosan microcapsules is simple. Tebuconazole/chitosan microcapsules with regular spherical morphology have been fabricated when Tween-80 were used as compound emulsifiers with the concentration of 1.1%(w/w), the concentration of chitosan was 1.2%(w/w), the compressed gas flow rate for spray-drying was 4 bar(400 kPa), and the feed rate for spray-drying was 10.5 m3/h. Moreover, these microcapsules showed a good-release performance and an obvious antibacterial activity against Candida albicans.
