Abstract: Three-point-bending specimens with edge crack were used to measure wood fracture toughness KIC and to analyse the effect of specimens’ width on KIC. The experiment results showed that (1): the experimental method is feasible (2): the width of specimens has no sufficient effect on KIC, so the thin specimens were better used.
