The Problem and Development Approaches of Developing Non_wood Products in the Areas of the Changjiang River

Abstract

This article is concerned with a summary of the implication, principle, current states and development strategics of developing non_timber product forest crops in constructing the shelterbelt of the Changjiang River by investigating the construction of the shelterbelt in the upper and middle peaches of the Changjiang River in Hunan, Huber, Jiangxi and Anhui province and analysing the soc_economic condition in this areas. The major strategies for developing non_timber product forest crops during constructing the shelterbelt of the Changjiang River are to transform non_timber in the serious water and soil erosion areas, to plan the development scales of non_timber forest in the areas of returning farm to forest, to adjust non_wood products distribution, to establish high productive production bases of non_wood products and to strengthen the macroscopic guide of government for developing non_timeber forest.
