Abstract: Atriplex triangularis , a kind of halophyte species, was used as experimental material. Effects of growth of their calli and activities of their superoxide dismutase(SOD) catalase(CAT)and peroxidase(POD)were investigated. The results showed that the rate of seed germination by N+ , Ar+ , Zn2+ implantation were different from that of control. The rate of seed germination were 28. 6% , 34. 8% and 11.1% when the energy of N+ implanted were 30,45 and 60 kV, respectively. The higher the energy of Zn2+ treated showed, the lower the rate of seed germination would be. Effects of the dif- ferent treatment energy of Ar+ on the rate of seed germination were not obvious. After the treatment of N+ , Ar+ , Zn2+ ,the seeds of Atriplex triangularis were induced into sterile seedlings, then the ster- ile seedlings were induced into calli, and activities of SOD,POD and CAT in calli took apparent chan- ges. The activities of SOD,POD and CAT by N+ ,Ar+ treatment were lower than those of control;the activity of SOD by Zn2+ treatment was much higher than those of control. Moreover, the sterile seed- lings by Zn2+ treatment grow vigorously, the growth of their calli was comparatively slow.
