The Analysis of Plant Species Composition and Abundance in Wuhan Steel and Iron Industrial District

Abstract: Based on remote sensing and the investigation in Wuhan steel & iron industrial district, the species composition and the relationship between greenland species abundance and greenland type,patch size,community structure and region difference is analyzed. The result indicates that.. (1)The life-form spectrum of garden plants accords with subtropical climate. Garden plant species abundance is high and the prevalent is native species, which consists of 69 families,146 genera and 229 species; (2)Among 5 types of greenland,the species abundance of the public park is highest, but nursery and other greenland are lowest. With the increasing of greenland patch size and community structure, the species abundance improves respectively, whereas the variety of abundance is little during patches size varying 0. 1~10 hm2. The weighing species abundance(St) diversities of different regions are remarkable, where industrial port is the highest(S,.=9.38), living district is moderate(St=7.40) and factory area is lowest(St:6.80).
