Abstract: Techniques of afforestation to survival rate and young tree’s growth increment were tested by the materials of Acer mono and Rhus typhina with the factors including super absorbent polymer, ABT and base fertilizer. The result obtained by the experiment of L9(35) orthogonal rotatable central composite design indicated that super absorbent polymer and ABT reached the very significant level and significant level respectively with the survival rate; the base fertilizer took significant effect in growth increment while it had adverse effect with survival rate; super absorbent polymer and ABT took significant promoting effect with growth increment of A.mono’s new branch while R.typhina not. According to the survival rate and young tree’s growth increment, optimized by computer simulation, the recommended amount of super absorbent polymer was followed as: Rhus typhina 36.8—39.9 g per tree, Acer mono 35.1—39.2 g per tree. The amount of ABT was fallowed as: Rhus typhina 31—53.7 mg/kg, Acer mono 41.9—60.1 mg/kg. Base fertilizer was not recommended.
