Abstract

Abstract: In this paper, a riparian zone at Taihu Lake of National Recreation District in Suzhou City were partitioned into three function districts by its ecological roles, the national and regional demands for environmental pollution treatment. We proposed some elementary modes on ecological restoration and rebuilding of riparian zones at Taihu Lake of National Recreation District in Suzhou City according to its ecological conditions, functional demands, and restoration subjects. The development levels of society and economy and demand of environment treatment were also considered to put forth some basic policies about ecological restoration and programming of the riparian zones. Our study may be helpful to ecological restoration and rebuilding of the riparian zones at Taihu Lake of National Recreation District in Suzhou City.
