Abstract: The biomass and humidity contents of Fargesia yunnanensis in Baimahe forest farm, Yongren county, Yunnan province were investigated. The results showed that: the humidity content was the highest in the leaf, while it was the least in the culm. The biomass of culm ranks the highest, which is about 60.31 %-65.34 %, followed by the branch ranging from 19.28 % to 21.87 % and leaf is the lowest varing from 15.11 % to 17.82 %. The correlations among various organs were probed by regression analysis. The mathematical models among the biomass of various organs the diameter on breast height (DBH) and the diameter of bottom culms (DBC) were fitted. The biomass fitting models of various organs with DBH are WC=0318D1.753, WB=0135D1.412, WL=0.140D1.216 respectively. According to the survey of DBH and DBC, the different organ biomass of F.yunnanensis distributed in different provenance were evaluated using the mathematical models. It showed that the growth vigour of F.yunnanensis distributed in Jizushan is the best by the comparision of DBH, DBC and biomass.
