Abstract: To learn the flowering phenology and stamen development in Cyclocarya paliurus, flowering habits, process of stamen development, and pollen morphology were studied by paraffin section and electron microscopy scan. The results were as follows: (1)Asynchronous flowering period existed in the same plant. In some plants, male flowers maturated later than female flowers, in other plants, the situation was on the contrary. However, durations of male and female flowering time were from late April to early May in different plants. (2)Its anther had 4 chambers, anther wall development was classified into Geminicotyledon type, mature pollen grain was 2celled. (3)Morphology of pollen looked like oblate spheroid, from equator side like oval, and pole side pentagon. The equator axis was as long as 28.84 μm (260—32.8 μm) and pole axis 23.79 μm (21.2—26.0 μm). The mature pollen grains with surface ornamentation of granule contained 4—5 apertures around the equator.
