Geodatabase construction and evaluation of landscape pattern indices for Qin Lake wetland based on 3S technology

Abstract: The spacetime changes of Qin Lake landscape patterns were analyzed according to orthophoto aerial photograph take in 1995 and 2006 based on RS technology and GIS platform. The principle and technique of landscape ecology were used to study the landscape pattern change, spatial database was built to store land type and image data, TM, ETM+ multispectral data, Globcover 300 m and 1∶100 000 landuse data were used as auxiliary data in order to better recognize land types. Results showed that the area and fractal dimension of marsh landscape increased, and the number of patches, fragmentation, and separation decreased. Fractal dimension, fragmentation of forest decreased. The results showed that the water swamp landscape tends to be matrix, forest land, farm land and residential area as the main body; the remaining types were patchlike distribution pattern of wetland landscape. Wetland ecosystem conservation and the use of wetland have got remarkable achievements.SHDI, fragment of landscape metric increased but dominance decreased show that the expansion of the scope of human activities and the increase of disturbance events changed the inner structure of the landscape spatial patterns, accelerated the fragmentation of landscape.
