Abstract: Classical laminated plate theory(CLPT)and the firstorder shearing deformation theory(FSDT)were used for predicting the effective modulus of elasticity, stress and deflection of the beam in midspan for oriented strand boardveneer composite container flooring(OSBVCCF). They were compared with the results by the finite element method(FEM). FEM also analyzed the bending properties of the container flooring for three different thickness of wood veneer. The results demonstrated that theoretical predictions matched with the results of FEM. The larger thickness ratio of veneer composite container flooring will not only effectively improve the overall performance of stiffness but also reduce the normal stress in the structure significantly.
