Applying the minicomputer to group technology (GT), large amounts of information and data of codes of products- serial numbers of parts, their shapes and engineering features required in designing, manufacturing and management can be treated. In this paper, an exploration of programme designing in this connection has been made, with numerous examples, illustrations, programme segments and flowcharts given. The application of minicomputers will greatly help spread group technology in medium and small-size factories.
