Study on ecological treatment technology of rainfall in Shanghai World Expo

Abstract

The rainfall, a key link of water recycle system in the nature, is very important for recruiting regional water resources and improving the ecological environment. This article illustrated the best management practices of rainfall runoff applied in the greenspace of Shanghai World Expo from four aspects including pervious groundcover, roof greening, concavedown green space and artificial wetland, and the characteristics of different ecological treatment technology were analyzed. Based on the comprehensive analysis including treatment effect, land area, subsequent management, landscape effect, and applicable place, pervious groundcover and roof greening had better prospects, meanwhile concavedown green space and artificial wetland also had a certain value.
