The biomass dynamic analysis of public walfare forest inXianju county of Zhejiang province

Abstract: Based on the latest “Specifications for assessment of forest ecosystem services in China”, we have used twostage sampling to monitor biomass dynamic of 111 permanent sample plots in subcompartment with 487 thousand hectares in Xianju county Zhejiang province. The results showed that Chinese fir forest had the highest community biomass (9975 t/hm2), which was higher than that of coniferous and broadleaved mixed forest (96.13 t/hm2). Shrub forest had the lowest community biomass (3880 t/hm2) in Xianju county. Considering the precision of biomass estimation at local level, we proposed that it was more reliable to evaluate their benefit by investigating and calculating the forest biomass based on local forest type and parameters first, then the underlying biomass data was provided for calculation and correction assessment.
