Abstract: Two kinds of coating formulations were obtained by BTZ, acrylic resin, ethyl acetate and anhydrous alcohol which mixed at a certain proportion, and their spectral analysis of two kinds of coating formulations was investigated. Color-stability of bamboo coated with formulation B(added BTZ, named B)was demonstrated through a weathering experiment. The results showed the absorbance among 300-380 nm of formulation B was higher than that of formulation A(unadded BTZ, named A). The absorbance value and width of absorption peak appeared positive correlation with painting thickness. Color-stability of bamboo with formulation B was improved during aging, and ΔE value of B decreased by 67.8% compared with blank after 112 days aging.
