Abstract: To further understand the bio-ecological characteristics of Eucryptorrhynchus chinensis(Olivier), the developmental threshold temperature and effective accumulated temperature of E. chinensis were determined under natural changing temperature in the laboratory, and the forecasting formula of E. chinensis were obtained. The results showed that the developmental threshold temperatures of egg, larval and pupae were 8.84, 15.37 and 5.95 ℃, respectively, and their effective accumulative temperatures were 190.50, 667.06 and 322.50 ℃·d, respectively. Their forecasting formulas were:Negg=190.50±27.81/T-(8.84±0.66); Nlarval=667.06±92.29/T-(15.37±1.4); Npupae=322.50±32.37/T-(5.95±1.63). Through woodland verification, it was proved that the forecasting formulas of E. chinensis for egg and pupae stage were feasible. Although the forecasting formula of larval stage has some deviations, it can also provide guidance for forecasting.
