Abstract: In order to provide a theoretical foundation for nitrogen fertilizer management of Populus×euramericana ‘Neva'seedlings, the effects of nitrogen treatments on the hyperspctral and light-response curves of P. euramericana ‘Neva' annual seedlings were studied. The results showed that:① Spectral reflectance curves of P. euramericana ‘Neva'at the different nitrogen levels were almost the same. The curves would all possess typical“valley” and “peak” characteristics of green plants. In different nitrogen levels, hyperspectral reflectance first derivative increased with the increase of nitrogen and it had obvious trend of moving to long wavelength in the red edge region of 680-760 nm.② Under different nitrogen levels, the net photosynthetic rate, transpiration rate and stomatal conductance of P. euramericana ‘Neva' leaf increased sharply whereas intercellular carbon dioxide concentration of that decreased with the increase of light intensity. The photosynthetic capacity and optimal growth conditions of N-4(4 g)treatment leaf were the best among the treatments.
