Abstract: Based on the similarity of dry weight distribution of individual needles in a fascicle, a pair-needle method was developed for measuring the net assimilation late of pine treedles and promptly applied to the 2-year old needles of Pinus thumbergii. The results obtained were considerably stable and satisfactory.
