Abstract: With the theories and methods on technical economics and the grey stategy of multitarget, from the quantitative view, the evaluation and optimized model selection in 8 tree species deposition model for shelter belt in dry land cropping district, Fengxie, Jiangsu province, were carried out. The results are as follows: ① In dry laud district in Huang Huai plain, the deposition model in 7 tree species for sheoter belt used P x. euramericana as a principal tree species, mixed P x euramericana with a locust, and paulownia as its margin. Its technical economic benefits were better than that of shelter belt composed of populus xiaozuanica and planting crops and managing multiple-purpose for forestry. ② Optimized model selected in tree species deposition, its main forest belt was to plant a line of paulownia in each side, to mix a poplar with a locust in another plant in the midside. The narrow forest belt made of tree species regarded a poplar as main production purpose. The auxiliary forest belt was made up with a poplar in rapid growth, like a shade forest belt. ③ While the main productive factor was input in the existing forest belt, the district short of funds and the labor force in surplus, cutting down the consumption in the embodied labor with higher live labor value still has its practical significance.
