Abstract: To provide useful information on effective prevention of nematode, the study focused on the investigation of the species of parasitic nematode and their distribution in rhizosphere soil of garden trees. The nematodes were isolated from the rhizosphere of 40 garden trees in plantation nurseries in Qixia, Jiangning and Pukou district of Nanjing city during October 2009 and July 2010. Based on the morphology and morphometric value, three species of Hoplolaimidae were identified as Helicotylenchus dihystera, H. pseudorobustus and Rotylenchulus reniformis. R. reniformis was new recorded species in Jiangsu province. Among the 40 species of host plants, 13 species were the new hosts of H. dihystera, 8 species were new hosts of H. pseudorobustus, 2 species were new hosts of R. reniformis.
