Design and development of 3D stratum visualization system based on ArcEngine and borehole data

Abstract: The most intuitive and accurate and detailed method for obtaining the information of stratum is through boreholes, so the formation of internal structure of stratum can be expressed by 3D model based on the data of boreholes. In order to ensure the safety of the tunnel construction and realize the visualization of stratum surface which at the top of the shield tunnel giving a method of constructing 3D stratum model based on the data of boreholes. At first, ArcEngine applied to preprocessing the data of boreholes and gain the spatial information of boreholes; and then constructing TEN model based on the algorithm of three dimensional constraint tetrahedron of Delaunay and the information of discrete boreholes which have been preprocessed. By calling the data information of boreholes and the properties of stratum surface and so on from the database through the platform of ArcEngine, realized the function of 3D display of the information of stratum surface and boreholes, information query, analysis of stratum and so on.
