A preliminary survey of the key wild plant resources protection of Nanjing city of Jiangsu province

Abstract

A preliminary survey of the wild plant resources was carried out in Nanjing city of Jiangsu province. The statistics show that there are 12 species of rare wild plant distributed in Nanjing region. Only 2 species(Sinojackia xylocarpa and Zelkova schenideriana)belongs to the national key protected, 10 species of rare wild at the provincial level. The species distribution, habitation population, reasons for rarity and danger and protective value were discussed and some suggestions for the protection were put forward.
