Abstract: Tests of influence of structural types of composite plywood on its properties were made. Relationship between thickness of face veneet, structural type of coremat, weight ratio of strands in the three-ply oriented coremat, specific gravity of panel and MOR, MOE, IB, thickness swell after immersion in water, relative nail-holding power were studied.Experimental results show: 1. Structural type of composite plywood affects its properties considerably. Structural types of single-ply, three-ply or random orientations generally results in better total properties of the panel. 2. Ratioes betwoon MOR and MOE of composite plywood in parallel and perpendicular direction (MOR / MOR and MOE/MOE) can be adjusted by changing the weight ratio between the surface strand and the core layer strand in the three-ply oriented coremat. 3. Strands in outer ply give more influece to MOR and MOE of composite plywood than strands in internal ply, the mathematical model being Y= a + bx + cx2.
