NEW TAXA AND SOME REVISIONS ABOUT THE ARALIACEAE OF CHINA

Abstract: The present paper is a part of the results attained in the author’s taxonomical studies at home and abroad in the recent years. Described in this paper are one new species (Aralia strigosa C. Y. Wu), two new varieties (Acanthopanax gracilisty-lus var. trifoliolatus Shang and Pentapanax tomentellus var. distinctus Shang), a new name Aralia merrillii Shang = A. scandens (Merr.) Ha and eight new combinations or new grades, which are Brassaiopsis mowningensis (Y. R. Ling) Shang, Acanthopanax setosus (Li) Shang, A. fargesii (Franch.) Shang, Pentapanax tomentellus (Franch.) Shang, P. cacsia (Hand.-Mazz.) Shang, P. wilsonii (Harms) Shang and P. plumosus (Li) Shang, Besides, sixteen species and nine varieties have been reduced to synonyms,
