Abstract

Large difference among the individuals of masson pine was found for specific gravity and tracheid, the variations of which were about 40% and 20% of their total population variation respectively. It is important that selection of wood properties was emphasized among individuals. Stand selection seems to be ineffective. No significant difference was also found among tree types with different growth rate for specific gravity and tracheid length.
