Based on the model test with relation to a new shcad boom-boxboom with a splash board bearing water pressure for wood transport by water in the tank, this paper is a study of the effocts of the angle botwccn the axis of the boom and the axis of a a current and the force exerted on the boom, which is relative to the combine of the different measurements of the splash board and the ledge of boom in the different conditions of flowing speed. The rensonable bournds within which the box boom is used, the maximum angle between the axis of the boom and the axis of a current and the force exerted on the boom are defined; It provides a basis for designing the box boom.
