Abstract

This article provides the properties of tracheid shape of planted forest with age in different elevation. The preliminary study is also made on the tracheid length, the width of ring, the late-wood percentage, the density and the direct and indirect correlation concerning mechanical strength (crushing strength along the grain and bending strength). Meanwhile, the tracheid shape (length, diameter ect.) is put to use in distinguishing juvenile wood from mature wood.
