Abstract: By means of specially designed test system, wood cross-cutting resistance was measured against the saw chains with different filing angles and depth gauge settings. The measured results show that filing angle and the depth gauge setting have a great influence on cutting performance. Optimired filing can distinctly improve cutting functions of different saw chains.
