Abstract: By analysis and caleulation, the author of this paper believes that the rigidity and static-load supporting capability of the hot platens are not substantially affected by the arrangement-direction of the channels for a hot medium. In the onditions of the longitudinal and cross direction anangements of the channels, the difference ratio of the bending deflection at the centre point is 1.70% to 6.26%, the difference ratio of the static-load supporting capability is 1.58% to 5.76%. Therefore the cross-direction arrangement of the channels is completely reasonable for the rectangular hot platen. But the rigidity of the hot platens is substantially affected by the positions and distances of the supporting feet. The deflection of short-edge supporting is 1.01 to 5.96 times (longitudinal arrangement of the channels) and 1 to 6.22 times (cross arrangement of the channels) that of long-edge supporting. The rigidity of the hot platens is not evidently affected by the distances of the holes. But the rigidity weakening for double-layer loop is higher than that for single-layer loop. Therefore it is avoided as much as possible tor use the structure of double-layer loop.
