At present,the unit pressure for hot pressing on plywood manufacturing usually is 1. 2~ 1. 5 MPa,the metal pads are used, the compression rate is high and the plywood recovery is low. In this paper testing results indicate that in order to ensure bonding strength of plywood to reach or exceed international standard,the compression is reduced from 12%-14% to 6%-8%. Therefore, the desired results have been achieved.
