Abstract: In the study, tree crowns are grouped into three types: Conical, Spherical, and Cylindrical shape. Shadow forms on the ground of different crown shapes are studied on the principles of projective geometry, and formulae for shadow areas are developed. In addition, the change of shadow forms and its movement orbits are also discussed in detail.
