Abstract: This paper reviews the research development of forest protoplasts culture in recent years, especially emphasizes the relationship between protoplasts culture and some important factors,such as gene types, culture media, culture methods, different kinds and concentrations of hormone, and etc. Forthermore, problems which are existing on forest protoplasts culture are discussed in detail.
