Abstract: in contrast with the soil potting culture, the biomasses of cut flower roses in vitro duringtheir seedling stage, the root growth capacity after injured artificially, the dynamic formation ofbloom yield, and the population structure in shoots and leaves, and so on, have been conducted.Theexperimental results indicated that:the plant growth and developement existed in both rockwool cultureand substrate culture was obviously promoted, their root growth capacity (RGC) was muchstronger, and the time from axillary buds to blooms was 6. 3 and 4. 0 days ahead respectively; thespace distribution of shoots and leaves in population structure was relatively reasonable, the extinctioncoefficient K in different layer heights was small and similar, and the leaf aera index reached to 15. 6and 14. 6 respectively, which was 3 times that in the contrast; the mean blooms yield per plant increased not only to 104% and 97 % respectively, but also with a longer shoots and higher quality index.
